ToyBank - A Way To Share Smiles

I had the opportunity of meeting and chatting up with ToyBank founder Shweta Chari and I had shared her passion for making a difference in an earlier post, you can read it here

ToyBank is actively looking for volunteers who can help them with their operations, especially in Pune and Bangalore. They are also always on the lookout for youngsters or anyone who would love to be a part of this beautiful experience of sharing a smile with lesser-fortunate children by sharing toys with them. There are many ways you can help them out, something even as basic as wrapping the gifts and toys for them. Do get in touch with ToyBank here

Activity: Toybank, a non-profit organization has been set up with the aim of providing toys to children who come from a weak socio-economic background.
Details: Goals:
To ensure that children from under privileged backgrounds receive toys through collection and distributions.
To bridge the gap between children from different backgrounds by creative play/group events/community events.
To make play space available for children through-- Toy libraries in available infrastructures; reclaim open public spaces for children.
To design and thus provide toys that will be context specific, by having toys made in local languages as well.
Support: Children, Right to Play, Right to Leisure, non-formal education, toys.
Note: ToyBank is looking for volunteer coordinators in Pune and Bangalore. They are looking for NGOs working on education of children in Delhi/NCR.
